A campground away from the city, surrounded by the nature of the sea and mountains.
This is a campground surrounded by the nature of the sea and mountains, away from the city, where you can have a vacation in your room or enjoy a craft menu. We have seaside cottages with a great location right next to the ocean. There is also a gymnasium and tennis courts just a 3-minute drive away for your sporting pleasure. You can also enjoy a walk along the World Heritage Kumano Kodo. For dinner, you can choose to have a barbecue on the terrace of your room or a Japanese Kaiseki dinner at our sister hotel, Hotel Kinoza. Your room is equipped with a kitchen, so you can bring your own food to cook.

I am Noro, the chief instructor of Sonotaro Auto Camp. The town of Kihoku, where this campground is located, is rich in nature, with one of the clearest and most beautiful oceans and rivers in Japan, mountains where you can stroll along the World Heritage Kumano Kodo, and a star-filled sky at night. Please come and feel nature all around you.

Seaside Cottage (Accommodation)
There are a total of 9 cottages, 8 with a maximum capacity of 5 or 7 people and 1 with a maximum capacity of 10 or 12 people. The cottage type rooms are equipped with bathroom, toilet, 1 door refrigerator, 1 door freezer, air conditioner, hair dryer, and WiFi. The cottages are located right next to the ocean, so you can relax while listening to the sound of the waves.

Jounohama Fitness Hall (Gymnasium)
A multi-purpose hall where you can play volleyball, badminton, basketball, etc. Optional

Graffiti Land (hands-on menu)
Paint white ceramic animals and vehicles with your favorite colors and decorate your room. Optional
Painting on a Plate (hands-on menu)
Write your portrait or favorite animal on a white plate with a special color pen. The colors will not fade after baking, so you can use them as tableware or objects. Optional
Memory Glass Making (hands-on menu)
Decorate a small glass bottle or glass with colored sand or shells, then fill it with clear wax to create a cute glass filled with memories. Optional
Pudding & Ice Cream Making (hands-on menu)
This is a great way to make both pudding and ice cream using local ingredients. Of course, the ice cream and pudding can be eaten. Option
Fishing with a rental rod

Dine at our sister hotel "Hotel Kinoza" in the neighborhood.

You will need to move from your accommodation to the meeting rooms, gymnasium, tennis courts, etc. There are no amenities provided in the rooms, and there are no large bathrooms in the campground. All meals, activities, and experiences are optional. The accommodations have kitchens so you can prepare your own meals during your stay (knives, cutting boards, ladles, pots, pans, dishes, etc. are available for free rental). (Knives, cutting boards, ladles, pots, pans, dishes, etc. can be borrowed free of charge.) Reservations are required for dinner at Ki no za (subject to availability).

Morning eclipse
Breakfast with your own ingredients.
Afternoon
The whole family moves to the ocean right next to the campground. You can observe sea creatures near rocks and stones, and pick up lots of beautiful shells. No staff will be with us.
Day eclipse
Lunch with food you brought with you.
Afternoon
While you work in your room, your child can try drawing on a plate. (Experience menu)
Sunset eclipse
Japanese Kaiseki dinner at the Hotel Kinoza. (Reservation required)
Night
Family reunion in your room.
